5. Account Management
5.1 Account Opening
Members may open various types of accounts offered by MCCC SACCO, subject to specific terms and conditions for each account type.
5.2 Deposits and Withdrawals
Members can make deposits and withdrawals in accordance with MCCC SACCO's operational procedures. Certain transactions may be subject to fees as outlined in the fee schedule.
5.3 Statements
Members are responsible for reviewing their statements and reporting any discrepancies within 30 days of receipt.
6. Electronic Services
6.1 The Member Portal
Our website provides a member portal where members may view SACCO updates, event photographs and member-only documents. The portal is an information service. It does not currently provide balances, statements, transfers or any other banking transaction, and nothing shown in it replaces our official SACCO records.
To use the portal you must register using your own SACCO ID and choose a password. You agree to:
- Register only with your own SACCO ID, and not on behalf of anyone else
- Keep your password confidential and not share your account with others
- Notify us promptly if you believe someone else has learned your password or used your account
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. We may suspend or remove an account that is being misused, that was created with a SACCO ID not belonging to the person registering, or where a person has ceased to be a member. Suspending an account does not by itself affect your membership or your savings.
Should MCCC SACCO introduce online banking or transactional services in future, additional terms will apply and will be published before those services are made available.
6.2 Transaction Notifications
Members may receive electronic notifications for transactions. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that contact information is up to date to receive such notifications.
7. Fees and Charges
7.1 Changes to Fees
MCCC SACCO reserves the right to modify fees and charges. Members will be notified of any changes at least 30 days prior to implementation.
8. Member Responsibilities
Members agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
- Notify MCCC SACCO promptly of any changes to personal information.
- Use MCCC SACCO services for lawful purposes only.
9. Newsletter and Electronic Communications
You may subscribe to our newsletter from our website. Subscribing requires only an email address and does not require membership. Every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you may unsubscribe at any time without signing in and without contacting us.
Communications that relate to your membership — such as notices of general meetings or matters affecting your accounts — are sent separately and are not covered by the newsletter unsubscribe.
10. Use of the Website
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, any account that is not yours, or any of our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the website, or attempt to circumvent any security measure
- Copy, scrape or collect information from the website by automated means without our written permission
